Some people may dismiss the chakras – either as being a little unbelievable, because they can’t see and touch them themselves. Or they discover a little about them and then stop, they find out about the general location, the associated color and maybe the odd physical attribute. Then they stop there.
For example; It is all too easy to say: “ The root chakra is red, red means anger!” And so what?!
It goes so much deeper than that.
To me the Chakras are an energetic link directly to your subconscious mind, your thoughts, beliefs, memories and emotions. They can reveal so much more than the odd character trait or a colour, they can reveal many of your subconsciously held patterns, behaviours, fears and programming.
A good way to highlight this is to use the throat chakra as an example. We know on a basic level it is the centre of communication and is linked to the whole throat and neck area. The entire respiratory system.
On a deeper spiritual level it is also linked with the ability to stand up and to speak your own truth, living in line with your core values and integrity.
On an every day level, we are all aware of the significance of body language, that no matter what we are saying, the body may be giving different signals and indications!
We know that if someone is not telling the truth, they very often scratch their nose, or their mouth. This is their throat chakra – actually giving physical signals it is uncomfortable with what is being said! The energy, the chemicals and impulses have been instantly triggered within the body and have created a reaction. This is the premise behind lie detector technology.Although the person may be using their mind to manipulate or cover something up, their TRUE, AUTHENTIC SELF, directly linked with the chakras and the energy of their spirit is wanting to say something else.
You may remember feeling uncomfortable telling an untruth yourself in the past. The energy doesn’t sit in one place, it has an affect elsewhere, it’s intricately linked with your subconscious. As it can’t verbally talk to you, it has to give you tiny, almost imperceptible sensations, within or around your body. As you slow down your conscious mind, getting through the hum drum of every day and become more aware of your own energy, then you are more likely to be able to interpret and understand what your own authentic self/subconscious is trying to tell you.
What we don’t consciously know is that we actually have the answers to most if not all of our problems and situations, neatly bundled up in our own subconscious.
Every single chakra is linked and related and works in this way, they can make you aware of habits or even thought patterns you might have, that could be holding you back, at work or in relationships. It could even highlight where you might be physically weaker and more prone to illness or disease – finding out where you have a chakra imbalance can be of great help in unravelling all sorts of things.
There is so much more to learn about ourselves than we consciously know. But we can find peace when we are honest with ourselves and honour our authentic self.
